ARD (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der Bundesrepublik Deutschland) is a joint organisation of Germany’s regional public-service broadcasters, founded in 1950. ARD’s programming is produced by its regional members. The ARD members are contributing to the nationwide channel “Das Erste“ and to the regional television services.
